​Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treats clinically specific wounds by saturating tissue with oxygen. The increase in tissue oxygenation facilitates healing by killing anaerobic bacteria, stimulating the growth of new capillaries and aiding the healing of hypoxic wounds. Hyperbaric treatment is administered by breathing 100% oxygen in a clear pressurized chamber.

Indications for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

  • Diabetic foot ulcer (Wagner III or greater)
  • Chronic refractory osteomyelitis
  • Damage to soft tissues or bone due to radiation
  • Compromised skin flaps or grafts
  • Crush injury or acute traumatic peripheral ischemia
  • Necrotizing fasciitis
  • Actinomycosis
  • Acute peripheral arterial insufficiency
